opinions, please...

So, I have been working with the trainer for a month now. I feel good, like I'm making some progress. But I don't feel like the level of intensity is where I want it to be. I want to feel like I'm going to barf by the end of the workout, or half way through would be even better.

I'm trying to decide... do another month with the trainer? Or start back to crossfit?

I feel stronger, I definitely have more endurance, I think I'm ready....

Can I get myself on a routine to get up at 4:45AM to get to the Rec Center in time? It sounds good...
Get up, get my work out in at 5:30, come home and be showered and dressed BEFORE my kids wake up, take them to school, run errands, come home, get them fed and down for naps, clean my house, cook dinner.... HA! Sounds like the perfect Suzie Homemaker life, right?

Aye, I think I can pull that off! I think I would have more energy too.

Anybody want to add their two cents?!

  1. I think you should go with your gut. But just remember all your other responsibilities you have listed!! That's a lot for one person. I know, I'm in that same situation. If you can juggle all that at one time more power to you, but if not..it's okay to take your time you will end up with great results either way. Just remember to stay focused and to not overwhelm your self. You are a strong woman and only you know what is best for you. Good luck Tiecha!!

  2. OK--here's my 50 cent piece... You should stay with your trainer for a few more weeks, but have him beef up your routine. This way when you over-work yourself in crossfit--and you will--you will BE ready, not THINK you are.

Then, you will have more energy for your starring role as SUPERMOM!!

  3. I know you can do crossfit. It is what you put into it. I go to the 530 class (sometimes, haha) I am not where I used to be but I am still able to do it. If you decide to do the trainer, just start easing crossfit in. Maybe start going once a week or something. That is, so far, what I am doing. I go once or twice a week and then do other workouts throughout the week to help me not be as sore.
